15 Q&A about my pregnancy

1: A picture of you and 5 facts.
- I just graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting
- Ice cream has been my favorite dessert since I was little... and I doubt it will ever change
- I'm a night owl... I love to stay up late.  I absolutely cannot go to bed before 1030...its like a mental block that won't even let me get ready for bed before then.
- My husband is the light of my life... my rock, sole confidante, and my favorite person to tease and bug :-)
- I love naps!

2: A picture of the father and 5 facts.
- He was raised in Salina Utah

- Has a child-like passion for legos
- The greatest (frivolous) gift someone could give him would be a ride in an actual rocket/space shuttle.
-  Served his mission in Brazil and loves it when people surprise him with Brazilian food. (Passion fruit Mousse is his favorite dessert we can find locally)
- He loves being married more than anything else.  He says he's never been happier in his life.

3: Do you know the day you conceived?
- Not for sure... ;-)  There were many opportunities....

4: How did you find out you were expecting?

We'd been planning on a baby for a while now.  So it was really just a waiting game with several pee strips.  I got tired of being disappointed so I waited until a set day to test.  (Dec 2nd)  If I didn't have my period by then, I was officially late.  I had spent the week feeling funny... hungry, then I'd eat and be nauseous   So I wasn't surprised when I got the positive strip.  It was still exciting though to have proof that I wasn't feeling weird for no reason!

5: What trimester are you in, and how do you feel?
I am 27 weeks so I'm in the very last week of my second trimester.  I feel pretty good!  My only complaints are when I'm hungry... I do get tired easier and naps are my best friend.  My last complaint is I swear that child of mine digs a toe into something by my right hip bone...that kinda hurts. Is he trying to give me appendicitis?

6: Baby’s first picture. A picture of your first ultrasound.

7: What is your biggest food craving?
Haha... the most recent being lemon filled somethings!  Doughnuts, lemon bars, lemon cream pie.... I really miss those lemon pies that hostess used to make.  Although there is a suitable knock-off brand at Maverick that suffices.  The odd thing...?  I never cared that much for lemon before...

8: A picture of your baby bump, and how you feel about your look.
Excited to be showing a bump... though I'm not overly comfortable with how I look from a camera standpoint.

Me as of today

9: THE BABY SHOWER! What do you plan for? Hope for?
I'm not planning a baby shower :)  I know my mom and mom inlaws are planning on giving one.  I just think it will be fun to celebrate the new baby coming. :)  And I like presents!

10: How did you tell your parents the big news? The dad?
For the telling of the parents.... read it here  Jeremy wanted to be told simply with not a lot of fanfare and surprise.  I brought the test strip up...gave him a kiss and told him that we were expecting. It was quiet but very poignant.

11: How are you preparing for the baby?
Not very well.  I've made a baby blanket for him and in the process of knitting one as well.  One of Jeremy's co-workers suggested stocking up on diapers so we have one box of diapers :).  Other than that I think we'll wait until after the baby showers to start seriously preparing.

12: A picture of a baby who you feel your baby will resemble.

Just like us!!!

13: Who will help you the most when your baby is here?
I expect Jeremy will be sticking around to help.  We're currently saving enough PTO for him so he can take a week or so off when the baby comes.  I'm not sure if any family will be staying to help.  With everyone so far away it'd be a big sacrifice.

14: Who will be in the delivery room with you?
Jeremy of course... maybe my mom if she wants to be

15: What are you looking forward to most about being a mother?
I'm not sure.  I'm excited to hold him and count the toes and fingers.  I look forward to seeing my husband become a Dad and my parents grandparents.  I look forward to being called mama (though that is a long way off!)  I'm excited to see my little one smile...and know he is smiling because his mother his holding him
