Wow... it has been quite a while since I've blogged! November has been such a busy month.
I've found school has kept me super busy. Normal school work plus 30 hours of field work at Intermountain Medical Center. I've loved it! It was so neat to be able to go in and help people...or at least watch my supervisor help people and to see them improve. I was actually kind of suprised by how much improvement they made in the time I was there.
Thanksgiving was fun. The day before Jeremy was officially initiated into the family by going train chasing with us :) it was quite the adventure for us and him. I think the train was louder and bigger than he anticipated. He was a good sport participating and taking pictures. As always there is something crazy that happens when we go 'train chasing'. This time we thought we lost my dad. He had wandered off to find his perfect spot and was a bit slower getting back to the suburban than the rest of us. My mom sent Jer off to find him so Jer goes tracking his footprints. Well two minutes after Jeremy left, my dad comes back. Go figure. So now we have to find Jeremy (without getting the rest of us lost!) It took a good 15-20 minutes to find him. I'll be honest, I was kind of freaking out. I knew we'd find him...but still....its a scary feeling not being able to find him. Of course we were in a dead spot so it wasn't like we could call him. Eventually he was found and all was good. And the train chasing resumed :)
Thanksgiving was full of food and family. :) Loved it.
Then after thanksgiving...finals looked a heck of alot closer. I can't believe yesterday was my last day of the semester. I have almost survived my first semester of the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. I've done better and enjoyed it better than I though I would. I do have to give credit to my husband's unfailing support for me. He helped me study and put up with the occasional meltdown and let me palpate him ;). Also I've felt the support and help from the Lord. I was counseled to take a Institute class while I was in the program. I looked up the classes and it translated into me getting up an hour earlier in order to take it. You know me and mornings... But I was thinking and I think part of the reason I've been doing well is because of the Lord's blessings. I know when I've included him in my schoolwork, he helps me. What a blessing!
So all in all I'm doing good. Life is good. I'm almost ready for Christmas! Our tree is up and almost all our presents are bought. Yea!
Also I have to admit...there is something else that has taken up my time. Since October I've been trying to take at least one picture a day. I haven't been perfectly consistent, but there is a picture each day. If you want to start looking at it here it is. http://kayleysphotoaday.blogspot.com/
